Matt Work is an associate at Drexel Hamilton focused on Cash Management and Institutional Sales for Money Market Funds. Matt retired in 2024 from active duty in the U.S. Army as a Colonel after serving continuously for nearly 30 years.

Matt enlisted in the Army in March 1994 as an infantryman. He spent 2 years as an enlisted soldier and then attended the United States Military Academy at West Point. Graduating from West Point in 2000 with a B.S. in Systems Engineering, Matt commissioned as an Infantry officer. He deployed to combat in Iraq and Afghanistan eight times with the 75th Ranger Regiment. Matt then commanded 2nd Squadron, 3rd Cavalry Regiment and deployed for his ninth combat rotation to Syria in support of the Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve.

Matt has numerous service awards and combat decorations including the Legion of Merit, four Bronze Stars, five Meritorious Service Medals, and a Defense Meritorious Service Medal. He is a graduate of the US Army Ranger School among other military schools and was awarded the Canadian and Israeli Defense Forces Jump Wings. Matt also holds an M.S. in Adult Learning and Leadership from Kansas State University. Matt holds Series 7 and 63 FINRA Licenses.
