Drexel Hamilton’s Trevor Brunell makes a difference in the local community at the DC Metro Capital Area Food Bank

Who: Trevor, The Independence Fund, and Capital Area Food Bank

What: Spent the morning working with these organizations to move and distribute food and goods to a VA home complex

Where: Starting in Rockville, MD, ending at the Garfield Terrace VA home complex downtown DC

When: approx. 0730-1030 this morning, 30 OCT

Why: The Independence Fund organized a large donation of food packages from the Capital Area Food Bank, and also put together their own bags filled with household necessities (soaps, hand sanitizers, masks, batteries, winter caps, gloves, etc.). They needed volunteers to meet at a staging area to organize what goods went to what locations, and then drive the things out to the designated homes.
