Drexel Hamilton Vets Visit Albany, Support “Jobs For Heroes” Bill

On Tuesday, January 15, three Drexel Hamilton employees and service disabled veterans traveled to Albany in support of Senator Greg Ball (R, C, I – Patterson) in support of the passage of a “Jobs for Heroes” bill.

Joe Krulder, Carolyn Hulse, and Matt Kuskie each spoke at the press conference about the importance of the proposed bill, which received support from Governor Cuomo in his recent State of the State address.

The  NY Jobs For Heroes Program will create a state contract preference for service-connected  disabled  veteran  owned small  businesses  in New York State.  The  legislation mirrors the highly successful federal program that is  presently established for a contract set aside. Currently nearly forty other states are successfully using this program.
